Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid growth. You will work with Python/TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, and service mesh technologies to deliver reliable platform services and secure operations.

You will lead efforts around performance optimization, SDLC AI-native tooling, and AI-driven infrastructure improvements, collaborating closely with engineering and data science teams.

Qualifications

• - 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• - 1+ year of API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• - 1+ year AWS and Kubernetes experience, including service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium.
• - 1+ year building advanced architectural components (service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, polyglot persistence).
• - 6+ months with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• - 6+ months SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork.
• - Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• - Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services to support company growth.
• - Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement infra improvements.
• - Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• - Implement best practices to optimize development processes and increase efficiency.
• - Communicate updates on status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
