Proofpoint is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning team in Cordoba, Argentina. You will build and maintain backend services, APIs, and internal tools that power our threat-detection engine, collaborating with senior engineers and data scientists from day one.

You will contribute to production-ready software, write tests, and participate in code reviews in a fast-paced environment. AWS deployment and scalable infrastructure will be part of your duties.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Python experience.
• Familiarity with core software engineering concepts: data structures, algorithms, REST APIs, and Git.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and working with structured data.
• AWS familiarity is a plus.

The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning team. You will build and maintain the software systems and tools that support our email threat detection engine, which protects some of the largest enterprises globally.

You will work closely with senior engineers and data scientists, contributing to real products from day one while growing your skills in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
