Media Relations Specialist - Podcast

We are seeking a remote Media Relations Specialist to join our team in Argentina. The purpose of the role is to strategically secure podcast appearances and features for clients, enhancing their visibility and engagement within their target audience. This role focuses on identifying relevant podcast opportunities, crafting compelling and personalized pitches, and managing the entire media pitching process to drive successful podcast placements. By leveraging podcasts as a key media channel, the specialist aims to effectively promote client messages, establish thought leadership, and achieve overall PR and marketing objectives.

Working Hours

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities

• Media Pitches:
  • Develop and deliver concise, engaging pitches tailored to specific podcasts, highlighting key messages and calls-to-action.
  • Create customized pitches for different podcast hosts and producers based on their focus and interests.
• Media Lists:
  • Maintain and update targeted lists of podcast hosts and producers, including contact details and preferences.
  • Compile profiles of podcast outlets, detailing audience demographics, editorial focus, and past coverage.
  • Keep accurate records of media contacts and outlet information to support effective outreach.
• Interview Opportunities:
  • Identify and detail interview opportunities, including podcast format, timing, and host information.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistical arrangements for podcast interviews.
  • Prepare interview briefs with key talking points and background information for effective client preparation.
• Reporting and Analysis:
  • Summarize media placements, reach, and impact of podcast features in coverage reports.
  • Track audience interaction and engagement with podcast placements and bylines.
  • Review media outreach effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Administrative and Support Materials:
  • Utilize scheduling tools, including calendars and checklists, to manage media tasks and deadlines.
  • Develop and use communication templates for various media interactions, including follow-ups and confirmations.
  • Maintain documentation records of media interactions, pitch statuses, and interview arrangements.
