Lawyers on Demand is seeking an Associate Marketing Counsel to guide a global technology organization on marketing law, advertising standards, privacy, IP rights, and commercial contracts. You will partner with legal, marketing, privacy and procurement teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes drafting and negotiating agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance across campaigns, and delivering practical legal solutions aligned with business objectives.

Formación

• 2-5+ years of attorney experience advising on marketing law, advertising, IP, privacy, or commercial contracts.
• Experience drafting and negotiating inbound procurement and commercial supplier agreements, with clauses like DPAs, liability, indemnity, SLAs, IP ownership.
• Knowledge of consumer protection, advertising compliance, and related regulatory issues.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, privacy-by-design, and AI disclosure requirements.
• Experience with contests, promotions, and claim substantiation is a plus.

Responsabilidades

We are seeking an Associate Marketing Counsel to support a leading global technology organization, providing strategic legal guidance on marketing, advertising, consumer protection, intellectual property, privacy, and commercial transactions. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with legal, marketing, privacy, procurement, and business stakeholders in a high-volume workload and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise marketing and business teams on advertising campaigns, brand activations, promotional initiatives, and commercial strategies.
• Review marketing materials across digital, social media, broadcast, retail, and event channels to ensure compliance with advertising standards, claim substantiation, disclosure requirements, and intellectual property clearances.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of marketing - related commercial agreements, including creative agency MSAs, SOWs, talent and influencer agreements, co-marketing sponsorships and CLAs.
• Ensure marketing programs comply with global consumer protection regulations, FTC Endorsement Guides, truth-in-advertising laws, and sweepstakes/contest rules.
• Identify legal risks and deliver practical, business-focused solutions that support commercial objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of attorney experience advising on marketing law, advertising, intellectual property, privacy, or commercial contracts within a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Experience independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating inbound procurement and commercial supplier agreements. Strong command of critical transactional clauses—such as data processing agreements (DPAs), limitation of liability, indemnification, SLAs, IP ownership, and termination rights.
• Experience advising on contests, sweepstakes, promotional campaigns, subscription offerings, and claim substantiation.
• Strong understanding of consumer protection, advertising compliance, and marketing-related legal issues, privacy and data governance concepts.
• Knowledge of digital advertising, AdTech, audience attribution, and mobile marketing ecosystems.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and privacy-by-design methodologies.
• Exposure to generative AI, including AI-generated marketing content and related disclosures.
