Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automation with hands-on manual testing. You will build, maintain and integrate tests in CI/CD, and evaluate AI QA tools to improve reliability across platforms.

You will collaborate with developers and product teams to enhance testability and acceptance criteria, and perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing on new features, ensuring robust coverage and rapid feedback.

Qualificações

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps, including on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output.

About the job

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

Mandatory:

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.
