About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Operations Assistant to support our legal team with document review, management, and administrative coordination. It's ideal for someone with a legal education background who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in English in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in keeping our legal documentation accurate, well-organized, and on schedule - partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders across multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and proofread legal documents, catching errors, inconsistencies, and formatting issues
- Manage and archive documents, including digital filing, version control, and consistent naming conventions
- Track tasks and deadlines, including calendar management, follow-ups, and key filing dates
- Maintain clear written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Handle sensitive client information with discretion and confidentiality
- Flag potential issues early and proactively support the team across competing priorities
Basic Qualifications
- English proficiency at B2+ / C1 level or higher (will work daily with U.S.-based teams and English-language legal documentation).
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Reliable and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills across competing tasks.
- Proactive, with a willingness to flag issues early.
- Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion and a strong sense of confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Legal education background (paralegal certificate or legal studies)
- Proven experience in document review and proofreading
- Experience with document management and archiving practices
- Strong task and deadline tracking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with office tools (Word, Excel, PDF editors) and e-signature platforms such as DocuSign
- Familiarity with document/case management software, or the ability to learn it quickly
- Comfort with task-tracking tools such as Jira
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal department
- Basic understanding of legal terminology and document types (contracts, pleadings, correspondence)
- Experience working with U.S.-based legal teams or distributed cross-cultural teams
