Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Team Member to function as a cashier and stocker, leading in the absence of store management and ensuring customer service excellence.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean, organized store. Previous supervisory exposure is a plus; relocation assistance is not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise following store processes.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; rotate and face merchandise.
• Restock and build merchandise displays; maintain plan-o-grams.
• Operate cash register and bag items; collect payment and make change.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise; maintain store cleanliness.
• Maintain cashier accountability, drawer integrity and security practices.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager direction; sign refunds and overrides.
• Monitor cash levels and perform required paperwork and deposits.
