Job summary

JPMorgan Chase Neovest in Buenos Aires is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join an agile team building trusted market-leading technology in a secure, scalable way. You will be a core technical contributor delivering across architectures and business functions.

As a hands-on leader, you will develop secure production code in C#/.NET, design multi-threaded services, and mentor engineers while advancing CI/CD, security, and cloud-native solutions. Strong Capital Markets knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software development with 5+ years applied experience.
• Advanced knowledge and 7+ years experience with C#/.Net.
• Experience developing multi-threaded applications for production.
• Experience building middle-tier services at scale.
• Front-end UI development in WPF and web tech (React/Angular/Typescript).
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced understanding of CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Experience with cloud native solutions and IT architectures.
• Capital Markets domain knowledge and related IT systems.
• Experience evaluating architectures with external vendors and teams.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software development concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Advanced knowledge and +7 years experience with C#/.Net
• Advanced knowledge and experience developing multi-threaded applications
• Experience building middle-tier services at scale
• Experience developing responsive front end UI's in C# (WPF) and web-based technologies (i.e. React, Angular, Typescript)
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of the Capital Markets and Trading industry and their IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience working in the Capital Markets industry with Portfolio Management systems
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Understanding of modern User Interface architecture and design
• Understanding and experience with data cache’ing technologies (i.e. Redis, Hazlecast, etc)
