EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join its Engineering Platform Team. You will design reusable GitHub Actions, build AWS infrastructure with Terraform, and enhance CI/CD and security practices.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and scrum roles, and drive AI-enabled engineering standards using Claude Code and GitHub Copilot. This role demands hands-on leadership and strong software execution.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• Proven technical leadership with mentoring and ownership.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD practices.
• Background in IaC, Docker, Linux, and security tooling.

We are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to join one of the world's largest automotive services companies.

You will work within the Engineering Platform Team, responsible for GitHub Enterprise, reusable developer automation, cloud infrastructure, and secure engineering enablement. The project domain covers Developer Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, and Cloud Automation.

As a technical leader, you will remain hands-on to deliver scalable platform automation, improve developer productivity, and establish AI-assisted engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable GitHub Actions
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation
• Drive DevSecOps, security, compliance, and operational excellence
• Establish AI development standards using Claude Code and GitHub Copilot
• Mentor engineers through architecture guidance, design discussions, and code reviews
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master on planning and delivery
• Participate in production support and continuous platform improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering
• Proven technical leadership with strong mentoring and ownership skills (1+ years)
• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Expertise in AWS and Terraform
• Skills in GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD
• Background in Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Linux
• Competency in DevSecOps, operating production services, and security tooling (SonarQube, CodeQL, Veracode)
• Familiarity with PagerDuty for incident response
• Daily hands-on experience with Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM fundamentals, and AI-assisted software development
• Capability to introduce AI into engineering workflows
• Strong written documentation skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Showcase of Anthropic Claude Code in real-world engineering scenarios
• Background in DevOps practices
• Knowledge of TypeScript and/or Node.js
