Job description

The Technology Assurance, Risk, and Policy (TARP) function within Information Security strives to create and promote a holistic Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program by creating a robust, resilient, and proactive governance framework, supported by a strategic risk management approach and stringent compliance structures. It aims to integrate and align its GRC initiatives in line with the global firm's objectives and emerging threats within the cybersecurity landscape.

Furthermore, the Policy, Risk, and Controls (PRC) Enablement & Awareness team aims to establish policies and procedures that reflect the value we place on safeguarding our digital environment, while ensuring that these policies are effectively communicated and enforced across all levels of the organization. The PRC Methodology Program is part of the Global Information Security Policy & Methodology team within PRC Enablement & Awareness and supports the GRC program and its tooling by integrating and aligning the IT PRC Framework operating model to ensure that policies, standards, processes, risks, and controls remain consistent with the principles and data structure of the core GRC platform.

Your key responsibilities

The PRC Methodology Specialist will administer and enhance the IT PRC Framework, which underpins the Policy and Risk Management Programs through the structured integration of IT risk domains, risk categories, processes, control objectives, common controls, IS documents, and authoritative sources derived from industry standards, control frameworks, and regulatory mandates. The PRC Methodology Specialist will partner closely with the Global Methodology Program Lead to advance the Methodology Program's service offerings, strategy, goals, and objectives, including those related to IT Risk Management and associated methodologies. The Specialist will serve as a key contributor to the implementation, maintenance, and evolution of the PRC Framework operating model while facilitating its adoption and integration across relevant team and organizational projects, programs, and emerging initiatives.

A successful applicant will possess strong analytical judgement, be collaborative, and be an effective communicator with the ability to apply methodology expertise across complex risk and control environments. This role will partner with the Policy, Risk, Control, and Compliance teams, as well as global and cross-functional stakeholders, to identify, evaluate, and recommend innovative solutions and approaches that enhance the IT PRC Framework operating model and strengthen risk and control methodologies. The role will also require building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders across multiple organizational levels, including Information Security, Client and Enterprise Technology, Global and Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Legal, to support the alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement of methodology-related initiatives.

Key responsibilities include
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in IT risk management, governance, compliance, and control frameworks, leveraging practical experience and applied knowledge to promote consistency in the interpretation, application, and adoption of the IT PRC Framework and related methodologies.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of the IT PRC Framework operating model through research into industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes, and the integration of best practices into methodology enhancements.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements, innovative practices, and operational efficiencies that enhance the effectiveness and scalability of the Methodology Program, while developing and maintaining related documentation, processes, procedures, and program artifacts throughout their lifecycles.
  • Develop and refine cross-mappings of PRC common controls against Information Security policies and standards and applicable regulatory and industry requirements to establish a consistent mapping model, strengthen traceability and control coverage, and provide visibility into the organization’s security and compliance posture.
  • Partner with Risk, Control, Compliance, and Assessment teams to support control gap assessments and methodology-related initiatives, strengthen control coverage, and drive alignment among risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the integration, adoption, and effective use of GRC technologies and tools, including the Unified Compliance tool, to strengthen assessment activities, control alignment, and risk management processes.
  • Help facilitate stakeholder engagement and cross-functional working sessions to influence methodology adoption, reinforce consistent risk and control practices, and advance strategic program objectives.
  • Help promote a culture of risk awareness by supporting the Information Security & Awareness team’s risk-focused promotional campaigns and expanding organizational understanding of risk responsibilities and expectations.
Skills and attributes for success

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships and work effectively across cross-functional teams and organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting demands, and perform effectively in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to leverage automation and technology solutions to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance repeatable activities.
  • Proven aptitude for learning and applying new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
To qualify for the role you must have
