AgileEngine is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer/SRE to design, build, and maintain cloud environments, focusing on infrastructure as code, Kubernetes deployments, and the observability stack. The role offers flexible remote/office options in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

You will work with Terraform, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), production Kubernetes, and Python for automation, plus Grafana, Thanos, Tempo for monitoring and tracing. Expect HA/DR planning and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Terraform-based infrastructure management experience.
• Experience with GitOps and automated deployments (ArgoCD/Flux).
• Production Kubernetes deployments and management.
• Python scripting for automation and tooling.
• Exposure to Grafana, Thanos, Tempo for observability and tracing.
• Ability to design HA architectures and DR failover plans.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer/SRE to design, build, and maintain cloud environments, including infrastructure as code, Kubernetes deployments, and the observability stack.

MUST HAVES

• At least 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure on a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven expertise building and managing infrastructure using Terraform.
• Demonstrated experience using GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux) for automated deployments.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing production Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in Python programming for infrastructure automation and tooling.
• Direct experience configuring and operating any of the following:
  • Grafana (dashboards and metrics visualization)
  • Thanos (Prometheus long-term storage and high availability)
  • Tempo (distributed tracing)
• Demonstrated background in designing and testing High Availability (HA) architectures and Disaster Recovery (DR) failover plans.

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with additional languages such as Go (Golang) or Rust for cloud tools.
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
