Light-it in Argentina is seeking a senior Data Architect/Lead to design and build modern data platforms, mentor a team of Data Engineers, and stay hands-on in architecture and delivery for client projects.

You will drive data strategy, scope initiatives, and partner with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Spark, and Airflow to unlock analytics, AI, and new product opportunities while ensuring governance and security. This role requires excellent English and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.

Formación

• Production data platforms experience required.
• Experience leading Data Engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers while remaining hands-on in architecture, technical decisions, and delivery.
• Lead Data projects from discovery through production.
• Define technical standards, patterns, and best practices across Light-it.
• Help scope projects, estimate effort, define delivery approaches, and participate in hiring and developing Data talent.
• Lead data strategy engagements with clients, assessing existing environments and defining modernization strategies and roadmaps.
• Help clients identify opportunities to leverage data for analytics, automation, AI, and new products.
• Define and evolve Light-it’s Data strategy and offering.

• Strong Data Engineering / Data Architecture background with experience building production data platforms.
• Deep practical experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures, pipelines, modeling, governance, and data quality.
• Experience leading Data projects from discovery through production.
• Strong business and product mindset — you care about solving the right problem, not just implementing technology.
• Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong sales and pre-sales skills, including discovery, solution design, proposals, and presentations.
• Experience leading and developing Data Engineers while remaining technically hands‑on.
• Strong written and spoken English.

We are looking for someone able to

Build Modern Data Platforms

• Architect and implement modern data platforms using Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Design data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, pipelines, and data products.
• Work with technologies such as Spark, SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow, and cloud‑native data services.
• Establish strong practices around data quality, governance, security, lineage, and observability.
• Optimize platforms for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.

Build Partnerships and Drive Growth

• Own and strengthen relationships with Databricks, Snowflake, and other strategic technology partners.
• Identify joint opportunities, enablement initiatives, and co‑selling opportunities.
• Participate in sales and pre‑sales, leading discovery sessions, solution design, technical proposals, estimates, and client presentations.
• Serve as a trusted Data advisor to prospective and existing clients.

Build Data for Healthcare

• Design Data solutions with healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory requirements in mind.
• Understand the implications of working with PHI and sensitive healthcare data.
• Work with Engineering and DevSecOps to ensure solutions meet security and compliance standards.

Other valuable skills

• Experience with both Databricks and Snowflake.
• Experience with dbt, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or major cloud platforms.
• Healthcare or other regulated‑industry experience.
• Experience with HIPAA, PHI, or FHIR.
• Experience with AI/ML data infrastructure.
• Experience building technology partnerships or Data practices.
