Job description

Our client is a digital marketing agency that helps multi-location businesses with a physical presence turn strong in‑person operations into online revenue. Its clients include med spas and aesthetics practices, clinics, OB/GYN practices, senior living communities, and dispensaries across the US and Canada. They usually have good operations and good reviews, and little online presence.

The agency is AI-native. It runs on Claude and on its own internal operating system and client portal. Anything digital is in scope, from search, SEO, and visibility in AI answers to websites, booking paths, reviews, social, paid media, branding, and fractional CMO support.

Your Role

This is a hands‑on account manager role. You own a set of client accounts end to end, from the first proposal through onboarding and the months after. You write the brand messaging and copy yourself, drafting in Claude and editing until it sounds like the client, and you run SEO, social, and paid media directly, including conversion tracking and ad account structure.

Part of the job is building. You'll convert repeated tasks into Claude tools and workflows (briefs, content calendars, trackers) and improve how the team works. Clients in med spas and senior living are particular about tone and trust, so every AI draft gets edited and checked before a client sees it.

This role suits someone who wants the whole account rather than a single channel, and who's comfortable building parts of the process as they go. If you'd prefer to hand execution to a team once the plan is written, it probably isn't the right fit.

You'll

Onboard new accounts and get the site, tracking, and channels live in about two weeks

Confirm conversion tracking counts real bookings before budget moves

Write brand messaging, location pages, and client updates, drafted in Claude and edited by you

Run SEO, social, and paid media hands‑on, including ad account structure

Structure multi‑location accounts so each location's numbers read clearly, then compare cost per booked appointment and shift budget

Convert repeated tasks into Claude workflows the team uses every week

Join client calls, including some in other time zones

You Bring

5+ years of current, hands‑on digital marketing for clients, at an agency or your own practice

Technical grounding in conversion tracking, tags, ad account structure, or launching sites

Daily use of Claude and the tools that connect to it, plus something you've built with them

Near‑native English for client calls and written updates

Experience running several client accounts at once, often with multiple locations

Brand and copy judgment you can explain and defend

Comfort working with minimal oversight

Bonus Points

A strong portfolio of client work

Published work or a personal brand, such as a course or newsletter

Clients in aesthetics, healthcare, senior care, or regulated retail

A technical degree in computer science, BI, or data analytics

What's Offered

Fully remote, full‑time contractor role from LATAM

Working hours on US Central time, with some flexibility for client calls in other time zones

Paid in USD as a contractor. Share the range that fits your level and we'll go from there

Unlimited PTO, and you choose which holidays you observe

Scope and responsibility that grow as the agency grows

Interview Process

  • First Call: A 30‑minute conversation with atomic HR
  • First Team Interview: Your first interview with the team
  • Second Team Interview: A second interview with the team
  • Work Test: A short practical task
  • Final Interview: The last conversation before a decision
  • Offer: An offer if it's a match on both sides
General Manager - Marketing and Ecommerce Growth

HoopStars | Parent‑company Marketing Team Lead

Full‑time. Remote from LATAM. Toronto working hours. Potential future relocation to the US or Canada by mutual agreement.

Build the business. Build the marketing team.

HoopStars is a Toronto‑based youth basketball business with recurring customers and technology‑enabled operations. We are looking for a hands‑on General Manager whose strongest skills are marketing, ecommerce and profitable growth, and who can take responsibility for the whole business.

You will divide your time approximately equally between running HoopStars and building and managing the parent company Community Sports Partners' marketing team across its brands. This is one vacancy advertised across multiple locations. Candidates elsewhere in LATAM are also welcome; apply once using your preferred location listing.

You should understand how to turn advertising into customers, improve conversion, increase repeat purchases and make the numbers work. You will also own budgets, operating performance and the team delivering the customer experience.

What you will own

  • Run HoopStars: Own its business plan, budget, revenue, profitability and cash forecasts. Lead sales and operations, ensuring programmes, coaches, venues and service quality keep pace with demand.
  • Drive digital growth: Improve paid search and social, creative, landing pages, enrollment funnels, pricing, offers, referrals and retention.
  • Build the parent marketing team: Define the structure, recruit specialists, appoint contractors or agencies where useful, and manage priorities and performance across brands.
  • Establish commercial discipline: Connect campaign performance to paying customers, repeat enrollment and contribution profit. Allocate marketing investment using reliable reporting and testing.
  • Stay close to execution: Inspect advertising accounts, diagnose funnel problems and help launch improvements yourself while building a team that can execute consistently.

Support and autonomy

The parent provides bookkeeping assistance, HR support, IT and website support, and a local manager covering customer service and day‑to‑day sales. You will propose budgets and team plans, then make operating decisions within agreed authority. After onboarding, the founder expects a monthly business review, supported by clear weekly reporting and escalation of exceptional issues.

Your first 90 days

Understand the customers, operations and economics. Audit marketing across the brands. Establish reporting, propose the marketing team structure and hiring priorities, launch the first growth tests, and take ownership of normal HoopStars business decisions.

Requirements

Who we are looking for

You may have built an ecommerce business, led growth for a consumer brand, run a digital agency with meaningful operating responsibility, or managed a business where digital acquisition was central to its success.

  • Demonstrated results in paid acquisition, conversion and retention.
  • Commercial responsibility beyond a marketing budget: pricing, margins, staffing, forecasts or business profitability.
  • Experience hiring and managing marketers, creatives, agencies or other specialists.
  • Ability to translate ecommerce methods into a service business with real delivery capacity and customer commitments.
  • Comfort doing practical work while developing people and systems.
  • Strong professional English and effective remote leadership.

Experience in youth sports, education, fitness, memberships or multi‑location services is useful. Evidence of building a profitable business and an effective team matters most.

Benefits

Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Remote work from LATAM, with Toronto‑hours collaboration. Opportunity to build and lead a business and the parent marketing team, with equity opportunity subject to agreed terms. Potential future relocation to the US or Canada by mutual agreement.
