Descripción de la vacante

Brainlabs is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design data layer specs, implement GA4 and GTM, and validate cross-domain tracking across client properties. You’ll write JavaScript to capture data from web pages and troubleshoot discrepancies between implementation and GA4 reports, plus build GA4/BigQuery analyses.

Lead a small team of analysts and implementation engineers, mentor others, gather analytics requirements, and produce POVs on measurement trends.

Formación

  • 2-4 years in digital analytics with hands-on GA4 and GTM across client-side and server-side implementations.
  • Deep GA4 knowledge: event modeling, custom dimensions, exploration reports, differences from Universal Analytics.
  • Solid JavaScript/ES6/jQuery skills to write and debug tag implementations without frontend developers.
  • Comfort with BigQuery and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis beyond GA4 UI.
  • Experience with server-side tagging via GTM Server and CMPs.
  • Familiarity with mobile app analytics using Firebase or AppsFlyer.
  • Exposure to Tealium or Adobe Launch is a plus, and CDPs like Tealium AudienceStream or BlueConic is a bonus.
  • Track record of producing clean technical documentation (SDRs, tag collection guides).
  • Some experience mentoring others, formally or informally.

Responsabilidades

  • Design and maintain SDRs, data layer recommendations, and technical specs for tracking implementations across web and app properties.
  • Implement and validate analytics tags and marketing pixels using Google Tag Manager (client-side and server-side).
  • Configure and validate cross-domain tracking in GA4, including referral exclusions and session continuity.
  • Write JavaScript to capture data and troubleshoot discrepancies between implementation and GA4 reports.
  • Build and run analyses in GA4 and BigQuery to surface behavioral patterns and conversion drivers.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts and implementation engineers.
  • Partner with clients and stakeholders to gather analytics requirements and produce POVs on measurement trends.
  • Stay current on privacy-driven shifts (consent mode, server-side tagging, cookieless tracking) and adjust practices accordingly.
  • Develop proactive monitoring infrastructure with Looker Studio dashboards and GA4/GTM alerts.

Descripción del empleo

Brainlabs is the independent, founder-led agency building the future of media. We have over 1000 Brainlabbers based across the global, all united through the 12 principles laid out in our Culture Code. We're full-service, with people and AI agents working side by side, all aligned to one thing: maximizing our clients' revenue through a genuinely scientific approach to media. If you want to help play your part in achieving this for the world's biggest brands in an environment that will support and challenge you in equal measure, this is where you do it.

What You'll Do:
  • Design and maintain Solution Design References (SDRs), data layer recommendations, and technical specification documents that serve as the source of truth for tracking implementations across web and app properties.
  • Implement and validate analytics tags and marketing pixels using Google Tag Manager, covering both client-side and server-side setups, with strong QA discipline at every stage.
  • Experience configuring and validating cross-domain tracking in GA4, including referral exclusions, linker parameters, and session continuity across multi-domain client environments.
  • Write JavaScript, ES6, and jQuery functions to capture required data from web pages, and troubleshoot discrepancies between what the implementation says and what GA4 reports show.
  • Build and run analyses in GA4 and BigQuery, going beyond surface-level reporting to surface the behavioral patterns and conversion drivers that matter, including custom explorations, segments, and funnel analysis.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts and implementation engineers, reviewing their work, unblocking technical problems, and helping them grow their skills in both implementation and analysis.
  • Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to gather analytics requirements, translate them into scoped technical projects, and produce Point of Views (POVs) on measurement trends or platform changes as needed.
  • Stay current on privacy-driven shifts in measurement, including consent mode, server-side tagging, and cookieless tracking, and bring practical responses to those changes into the team's standard approach.
  • Experience building and maintaining proactive monitoring infrastructure, including Looker Studio dashboards and GA4 or GTM-based alerts, to detect data quality issues such as traffic drops or tag failures across multiple client properties before clients report them.
Who You Are:
What We Really Want:
  • Someone who still enjoys the implementation craft but is ready to be responsible for more than their own output. You can write a data layer spec, spot a broken tag, and explain what the data means to a non-technical stakeholder, all in the same week. You've managed a small team or mentored others and you're ready to do it more formally.
What Particular Set of Skills Would Suit This Role:
  • 2-4 years in digital analytics, with strong hands‑on experience in GA4 and Google Tag Manager across both client‑side and server‑side implementations.
  • Deep working knowledge of GA4, including event modeling, custom dimensions, exploration reports, and the differences from Universal Analytics.
  • Solid JavaScript, ES6, and jQuery skills sufficient to write and debug tag implementations without leaning on front‑end developers.
  • Comfortable in BigQuery and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis beyond what GA4's UI surfaces.
  • Experience with server-side tagging via GTM Server and working knowledge of consent management platforms (CMPs).
  • Familiarity with mobile app analytics implementation using Firebase or AppsFlyer.
  • Exposure to additional TMS platforms such as Tealium or Adobe Launch is a plus, as is experience with CDPs like Tealium AudienceStream or BlueConic.
  • A track record of producing clean technical documentation, including SDRs and tag collection guides, that others can actually work from.
  • Some experience managing or mentoring others, formally or informally.
How You Succeed:

You're succeeding when the tracking is solid, the documentation is trusted, and the analysis is changing how people make decisions. Your team ships clean implementations, QA is thorough before anything goes live, and stakeholders come to you first when something looks wrong in the data or a new measurement requirement lands on the table.

Some benefits for you:
  • This is a full time job (en relación de dependencia).
  • Hybrid salary scheme (50% paid in USD).
  • 20 working days vacation plus all Argentina public holidays.
  • Private healthcare (OSDE 210).
  • Adaptive/hybrid working, with 3 days in our amazing Palermo Office (right opposite the Hippodrome!)
  • Free breakfast and lunch in the office.
  • Quarterly training sessions on wider business skills (pitching, strategy, client servicing)
  • Mobility programmes - work from another country for up to 30 days!
A note on our offices:

We pride ourselves in being a company with an office-centric culture and, for the majority of roles we expect people to be in commuting distance of the office and come in for around 3 days per week.
