We’re looking for a bilingual Localization Manager (German & French) to support our multilingual content operations across web, app, and marketing channels. You’ll work within a high-performing editorial and growth team, using our internal AI model to generate first-pass transcreations and then refining, subediting, publishing, and ensuring all output meets our brand and compliance standards. This role blends AI‑assisted localization, transcreation, editorial subediting, CMS publishing, and project management – ideal for someone who moves comfortably between language precision, creative nuance, and operational efficiency.
Please note this is a contract role: 2‑3 days per week
Transcreation & Localization – Adapt and trans‑create English marketing and product copy into German and French, ensuring a natural tone and cultural authenticity; review, refine, and QA translations from internal AI systems or external linguists for accuracy, clarity, and consistency; trans‑create content into other key languages for internal reviewers to sub‑edit; ensure all localized materials (in German and French) align with brand voice, terminology, and style guides; publish localized content via the CMS and manage localization workflows end to end.
Cultural & Market Relevance – Assess and adapt creative concepts to fit local cultural nuances and consumer expectations; provide local insights and guidance to the global growth and editorial teams on market‑specific preferences and sensitivities; act as a linguistic and cultural ambassador for the DACH and French markets.
Compliance & Quality Assurance – Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all content meets local regulatory standards and DISCLAIMERS are correctly adapted; maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regional compliance requirements; review all marketing copy, campaigns, and customer communications for accuracy, tone, and compliance approval.
Project Management – Oversee localization timelines and deliverables across multiple content streams; coordinate with editors, designers, and marketing leads to ensure smooth publishing workflows; track localization metrics and recommend process or AI model improvements.
