Parexel is hiring a General Ledger (GL) Accountant to work remotely from any location in Argentina. You will support LATAM entities within the Controllership team, handling month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP reporting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvements, and collaboration across functions. A Bachelor’s in Accounting and English proficiency are required, with CPA/ACCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain General Ledger journal entries with documentation.
• Own monthly close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensure accuracy of balance sheet and P&L under US GAAP and Local GAAP.
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support statutory financial statements and GAAP reconciliations.
• Partner cross-functionally to manage intercompany transactions and closing activities.
• Assist with audits and reporting package preparation for leadership.
• Support tax filings including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and withholding taxes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and maintain General Ledger journal entries with appropriate documentation and audit trails
• Own key aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Support statutory financial statement preparation and GAAP reconciliations

Skills & Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or Record-to-Report processes, which includes preparation and maintenance of the General Ledger
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Ability to be flexible and have an interest in working with atomization systems, (AI tools) and other process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
• English advance proficiency required as you will utilize it daily during work.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) preferred
