Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Functional Tester to join the Verification & Validation team. You will install, upgrade, and regression-test the platform on Kubernetes, debug failed deployments, and advance automated validation gates.

You will craft test cases, manage defects, and support health-check automation for a regulated healthcare context. The role involves working with a distributed North America-based scrum team, performing post-deployment checks, and contributing to change control

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA experience.
• Experience with installation, upgrade, regression, and integration testing.
• Hands-on familiarity with Kubernetes and Installing Helm charts.
• Ability to debug deployments and clean up Helm releases.
• Experience in functional testing of containerized products.
• English proficiency at B1+ level or above.
• Exposure to FluxCD and GitOps workflows is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS (EC2, ECR, VPC, IAM) and on-prem setups.
• Basic test automation/scripting and CI (Jenkins).
• Exposure to regulated environments (healthcare/medical devices).

Responsibilities

• Spin up clean Kubernetes environments and run the platform installer (single-node and HA profiles).
• Perform installation, upgrade, rollback, regression, and integration testing of the platform and Helm-packaged components.
• Install, debug, and clean up Helm charts; troubleshoot deployments using kubectl, logs, and events.
• Validate GitOps-driven deployments (Flux) including upgrade, rollback, backup/restore flows.
• Run config checks and post-install smoke tests; define working criteria for deliverables.
• Create test cases, log defects, retest fixes, and maintain regression suites for installer/CLI changes.
• Support automated post-deployment health checks and pipeline-integrated quality gates.
• Produce test evidence for regulated healthcare environments with formal validation and change control.
• Participate in stand-ups and sprint ceremonies with a distributed North America-based scrum team.
