Job summary

RYZ Labs is offering a long-term hybrid software engineering role based in Argentina with 1 day per week at a Palermo coworking space. You will design and ship production-ready software with a strong backend focus, building scalable APIs and services while integrating AI tools and LLM capabilities.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions, troubleshoot production systems, and contribute to frontend work when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, backend or full-stack
• Strong backend skills in Node.js, Python, or Java
• Experience designing APIs and scalable architectures
• Experience deploying production apps
• Familiarity with frontend basics (React/Vue) a plus

Job description

This is a long-term hybrid opportunity, with 1 day per week at a coworking space in Palermo, Buenos Aires.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and ship production-ready software, with a primary focus on backend development
• Develop and maintain scalable APIs, backend services, and integrations using technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java
• Work with databases, system architecture, and third-party services to build reliable and scalable applications
• Integrate AI tools, APIs, and LLM-based capabilities into applications and workflows
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications across production environments
• Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar, when needed
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to improving engineering practices and code quality

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in full-stack or backend-focused roles
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js, Python, Java, or similar technologies
• Solid understanding of API design, databases, and scalable system architecture
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining production applications
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, Vue, or similar is a plus
• Strong interest in AI and its practical applications in software development
• Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs or building AI-powered features
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or similar
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures
• Previous experience working in startups or high-growth environments
