Chevron in Argentina is seeking a senior professional to design and lead chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies in the El Trapial Field. You will manage monitoring programs, coordinate with Operations & Maintenance, and drive safety-focused OE initiatives on-site during a 7x7 rotation.

The role demands strong technical interpretation of monitoring data, contractor oversight, and cost forecasting for chemical handling and field improvements, with a focus on reliability and cost

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
• Experience assessing chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion strategies.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsabilidades

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies and related monitoring activities.
• Provide technical assessment of monitoring data and recommend changes to corrosion programs and related analyses.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment in El Trapial Field to improve OE, production, reliability and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance through field visits and coordination with O&M, laboratory and service personnel.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and compliance with process safety and HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and monthly tracking of operating costs and facility improvements for chemical products handling.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives to improve reliability and reduce total costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including chemical treatment, corrosion monitoring and inspection activities, as well as the preparation and delivery of reports and the identification and assessment of significant trends.
• Provide technical assessment and interpretation of chemical treatment monitoring data and recommend changes to corrosion criticality analyses and monitoring/inspection programs (chemical treatment, reservoir souring, corrosion, materials, coating applications, and cathodic protection). Utilize NACE, EPTC, API, ASTM, AISI, AWS, SSCP, and other Oil & Gas industry standards.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities and chemical treatment services in El Trapial Field to improve Operational Excellence (OE), production, reliability, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance through daily field visits and maintain ongoing interaction with Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Laboratory, and chemical service provider personnel.
• Lead OE execution in the field, with a strong focus on safety, ensuring every activity is performed in accordance with process safety and HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and perform monthly tracking of operating costs and facility improvements related to the transportation, dosing, and storage of chemical products in the field.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives focused on reliability, integrity, operational efficiency, and reduction of total treatment costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring, inspection, and implementation activities.
• Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Intermediate level of English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced level of English.

Special Considerations

• This position follows a 7x7 rotational schedule based in El Trapial Field.
• During the rotation, the selected candidate will stay at the Chevron Camp.
