Applaudo is seeking a frontend engineer with 4+ years of experience to build scalable, accessible maps and dashboards. You will work with geospatial data, create data-driven interfaces, and ensure usability and performance across complex frontend apps.

Join an AI-native team that values collaboration, code reviews, and structured delivery. English communication is essential, with daily overlap with US Eastern hours.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of frontend development experience.
• Experience with geospatial or location-based data in frontend apps.
• Experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and data-driven UI.
• Hands-on WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility experience in frontend apps.
• Experience building scalable, maintainable user-facing apps.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
• Experience in structured delivery environments with documented designs and ticket-based workflows.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to maintain at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern hours.

Responsabilidades

• Build and enhance large-scale interactive maps with layer controls and color-coding.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards turning data into actionable visuals.
• Implement accessible frontend experiences per WCAG 2.1 AA and verify accessibility.
• Work with geospatial data to create responsive map-based experiences.
• Participate in beta feedback rounds, defects, UI improvements, and hardening.
• Collaborate with delivery teams using Git workflows and ticketing processes.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and quality.

You have experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and accessible frontend applications, and you understand the importance of usability, maintainability, and performance. You are comfortable working in structured delivery environments, collaborating through code reviews and ticket-based workflows, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to support your work.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Frontend Development or Frontend Engineering.
• Experience working with geospatial or location-based data in frontend applications.
• Experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and data-driven user interfaces.
• Hands-on experience implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements in frontend applications.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable user-facing applications.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar tools.
• Experience working in structured delivery environments with documented designs, code reviews, and ticket-based workflows.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to maintain at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance large-scale interactive maps, including layer controls, operational color-coding, and manual override functionality.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards, transforming complex data into intuitive and actionable user experiences.
• Implement accessible frontend experiences in alignment with WCAG 2.1 AA requirements and support accessibility verification throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work with geospatial and operational data to create interactive, responsive, and user-friendly map-based experiences.
• Participate in beta feedback rounds, defect resolution, UI improvements, and application hardening through acceptance.
• Collaborate with the delivery team through documented designs, code reviews, Git-based workflows, and ticketed development processes.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and support high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Frontend Development or Frontend Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with React or Angular.
• Experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and data-driven user interfaces.
• Hands-on experience implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements.
