Prometeo Talent partners with a US-based cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Backend Engineer who will design, build and scale distributed backend services in Java and Python. You’ll own features end-to-end, leverage AI-assisted development workflows, and collaborate with a highly technical team in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires 8+ years in software engineering, strong Python/Java experience, and hands-on AI/LLM development.
Competenze
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
- 5+ years with Python, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
- Strong experience with Java.
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development (AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered applications)
- Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows in production environments is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience working with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Proven experience building, maintaining, optimizing, and improving products after launch.
- Strong ownership mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in startup or fast-paced environments.
- Advanced English level
