Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Chemical Specialist for the El Trapial Field in Argentina. The role involves developing, implementing, and optimizing chemical treatment and corrosion control programs to support safe, reliable operations.

You will work with operations, labs, and service providers to improve performance and reduce costs. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in chemical treatment, and an intermediate level

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
5+ years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
Experience interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including reports and trend assessments.
Provide technical assessment of monitoring data and recommend changes to analyses and programs.
Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve OE, production and cost performance.
Conduct field visits to monitor contractor performance and coordinate with O&M, Laboratory, and service personnel.
Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and compliance with HSE standards.
Prepare forecasts and track operating costs and facility improvements related to chemical products.
Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives for reliability and total costs.
Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
