Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Chemical Specialist to develop and optimize chemical treatment and corrosion control programs. This role collaborates with operations, laboratories, and service providers to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

You will lead OE execution in the field with safety as a top priority and manage forecasting and cost tracking for chemical products and field improvements. A 7x7 rotation at El Trapial Field is involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
• Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion strategies.
• Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring and reports.
• Provide interpretation of monitoring data and recommend changes to analyses and programs.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve OE, production, and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance through daily field visits with O&M, Lab, and service personnel.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and monthly tracking of operating costs and facility improvements related to chemicals.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives to reduce total treatment costs.
