Zone 5 Technologies is seeking an Environmental Qualification & Design Engineer to lead environmental testing, validation, and design integration for advanced counter-drone and missile systems. You will work with MIL-STD-810, EMI/EMC, and DoD programs, translating test results into robust design guidance.

The role requires hands-on testing, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with weapon system environments.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of relevant aerospace/defense or high-reliability systems engineering experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on MIL-STD-810 environmental testing with DO-160 familiarity.
• Experience identifying root cause failure and feeding insights into early design phases.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including power/harnessing and packaging.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, author, and execute detailed environmental test plans per MIL-STD-810 and related standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to translate test insights into hardware architecture and packaging.
• Lead EMI/EMC testing coordination with external labs and internal teams.
• Plan test setups, harnessing, fixturing, instrumentation, and data acquisition; oversee third-party test houses.
