Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for desktop and mobile applications.

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation; integrate tests into CI/CD using GitHub Actions; investigate failures and fix flaky tests. Collaborate with developers and product on testability; perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Formación

• 4+ years in QA automation.
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Playwright for desktop/web testing experience.
• WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile testing.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, incl. iOS/Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, JMeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as GitHub Actions, LambdaTest, SendGrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.

Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.

Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI‑powered applications is a plus.
