Formación

Engineering Stores Controller – Refresco, Bondgate

8:30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 4pm finish on Fridays

We’re seeking a dedicated Engineering Stores Controller to manage our engineering inventory, tools, and spare parts. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting our maintenance and production teams by ensuring the right parts are always available, well‑organized, and in top condition. About the role:

Responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, GMP and statutory standards within stores. Liaising with and supporting the embedded MRO supplier to ensure that the contracted benefits are delivered and best value is obtained from the relationship. Management of Non MRO parts orders. Drive improvements in the CMMS system to support the reliability projects on the site.

  • Conduct compliance audits against all relevant applicable legislation, LOLER, COSHH, WEEE, etc with the H&S team.
  • Conduct monthly safety audits with the embedded MRO supplier.
  • Conduct GMP audits of the engineering stores with Technical.
  • Validate engineering material stock change requests after consultation with end users and seek approval, liaise with and support the embedded MRO supplier to ensure that contracted benefits are delivered and best value is obtained.
  • Management of Non MRO parts orders including approval and converting to order.
  • Conduct monthly operational and KPI review with embedded MRO supplier, generate and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify spares holding requirements for new assets in conjunction with the Factory engineering teams and the embedded MRO supplier using RCM principles.
  • Assist with accounts to resolve invoice queries.
  • Update A3 for stores projects.
  • Validate MRO savings claimed by the embedded inventory management company and submit for approval.
  • Drive improvements in the CMMS system to support the reliability projects on the site.
About You:
  • Previous experience as a storeman, inventory, or warehouse role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with engineering parts, tools, and equipment—especially those used in maintenance and production operations.
  • Proficient in using inventory management systems or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience in stock control, ordering, receiving, and issuing of parts and tools.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety standards relevant to warehousing and manufacturing environments.
  • Basic mechanical or technical knowledge (advantageous but not always essential).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or part numbers (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with maintenance and production teams.
