BairesDev is hiring an Engineering Manager to guide a team of engineers building scalable software products with ML and data-driven systems. You will stay hands-on, design systems, and set engineering standards while growing the team and improving technical excellence.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver ambitious product roadmaps and ensure long-term scalability, performance, and reliability across platforms.

Qualificações

• 7+ years in software development and 2+ years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Strong coding skills in modern languages (TypeScript, Python, Go, Java).
• Deep understanding of system design, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and software architecture.
• Hands-on with ML-driven features or platforms is a plus.
• Fluent English communication.

Engineering Manager at BairesDev

In this role, you'll guide a team of engineers building scalable software products, many of which intersect with machine learning and data-intensive systems. You'll stay hands-on, diving into code, designing systems, and setting engineering standards, while also focusing on team growth, productivity, and technical excellence. What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of ML engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, hiring, coaching, and developing top-tier engineering talent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, ML, Design) to define and deliver ambitious product roadmaps.
• Write, review, and ship high-quality, production-grade code when needed.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure long-term scalability, performance, and reliability of systems.
• Oversee the technical execution of ML features, collaborating closely with data scientists and ML engineers.

What we are looking for:

• 7+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.
• Strong programming skills in modern languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java.
• Deep understanding of system design, APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with data-driven applications or working closely with ML teams.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Background building and scaling ML-powered features or platforms OR Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, complexity, distributed systems, and databases.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools, such as model deployment, feature stores, and monitoring.
• Previous experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Knowledge of Agile, Lean, or Shape Up methodologies.
