Canonical is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the MAAS team. You will guide high-quality software development on Linux, with deep familiarity with metal-as-a-service, provisioning, and data center networking.

Own delivery, mentor engineers, and shape technical strategy across diverse time zones. This work-from-anywhere role spans EMEA and the Americas, requiring travel 4–6 weeks per year, and collaboration with cloud-init, LXD, and public cloud initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong experience delivering software using Python or Go.
• Expertise with Linux system administration and cloud technologies.
• Proven leadership of distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English. Agile practitioner.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a distributed MAAS engineering team across time zones.
• Mentor, develop and assess engineers, shaping culture and delivery.
• Set expectations with other teams and stakeholders.
• Drive technical delivery and architectural review processes.
• Collaborate with cloud-init, LXD, and cloud offerings.
• Represent Canonical at internal and external events and travel 4–6 weeks annually.
