Berkeley Research Group, LLC is seeking an Analyst or higher-level professional to join our Financial Institution Advisory practice in Buenos Aires. The role involves executing engagement work streams related to risk management, capital planning, stress-testing, and model risk in collaboration with senior professionals.

Strong data analysis and software skills are essential, with English proficiency required for client communication.

Formación

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or consulting.
• Experience in risk management, internal controls, and/or audit roles, particularly in relation to the model management and usage
• General knowledge of statistics
• Experience in data analysis and the use of visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
• Advance proficiency in MS office, especially MS Excel
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, SAS, R)
• Understanding of risk management and model validation.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Work directly with senior professionals to execute various financial institution advisory projects related to financial risk management including credit risk, valuation, capital planning, and stress-testing, liquidity, resolution planning, and model risk management.
• Functional areas of work encompass regulatory, risk and controls; finance and accounting; technology enablement; and business process optimization.
• Works on data intensive projects, including analytics, governance, and manipulation, to support a variety of financial risk initiatives.
• Develop analyses and financial models using transactional data and/or financial data.
• Generate client deliverables and make valuable contributions to expert reports
• Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions.
• Prioritize assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines.

BRG’s Financial Institution Advisory practice specializes in helping commercial banks, consumer finance companies, credit unions, mortgage banks, capital market participants and insurance companies solve pressing business issues. The group brings a mix of functional experts—including CPAs, CFAs, CROs, CRCMs, FRMs, former regulators, financial modelers, technologists, former bankers, and longtime consultants—to address immediate risks and drive tangible benefits. This person will use their solid analytical ability and strong data analysis skills to solve complex problems. The work will involve execution of engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the banking or consulting industry (or a related field)
• Previous experience in risk management, internal controls, and/or audit roles, particularly in relation to the model management and usage
• General knowledge of statistics
• Experience in data analysis and the use of visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
• Advance proficiency in MS office, especially MS Excel
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, SAS, R)
• Understanding of risk management and model validation.
• Advanced English proficiency.

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
