Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Chemical Specialist to design, implement, and optimize chemical treatment and corrosion control programs that support safe and efficient operations at the El Trapial Field.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in production chemistry, a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, and an intermediate to advanced level of English. It operates on a 7x7 field rotation with on-site Chevron Camp housing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of chemical treatment and corrosion control experience.
• English at least intermediate required.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion strategies.
• Interpret monitoring data and adjust corrosion analyses and programs.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities in the field.
• Oversee contractor performance via daily field visits with Ops and labs.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong safety focus.
• Forecast and track monthly operating costs for chemical products.
• Propose medium- and long-term optimization to reduce costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
