Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Chemical Specialist in Neuquén, Argentina, to develop and optimize chemical treatment and corrosion control programs supporting safe, reliable operations. You will work with operations, laboratories, and service providers to improve performance and reduce costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, at least 5 years of experience, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring, inspection, and implementation activities.
Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies and monitoring activities.
Provide technical assessment of monitoring data and recommend changes to analyses and programs.
Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve OE, production, reliability, and cost performance.
Follow up on contractor performance through daily field visits and coordinate with O&M, Laboratory, and service personnel.
Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and compliance with safety standards.
Prepare forecasts and track operating costs and facility improvements for chemical products in the field.
Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives to reduce total treatment costs.
Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
