Puente Talent Partners is seeking a backend engineer to lead the migration of features from a TypeScript monolith to a service-oriented architecture on AWS. You will design and implement microservices and APIs, deliver work in agile sprints, and maintain high code quality.

The role requires hands-on ownership of backend systems, experience with AdonisJS and AWS, plus strong testing practices. You should be based in Buenos Aires or nearby to attend the office two days weekly.

Formación

• You have at least 2 years of backend development experience with TypeScript and Go.
• Solid experience with AWS, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems (SNS, SQS, EventBridge).
• You design and build REST APIs securely, applying DDD principles, ideally with TypeScript frameworks like AdonisJS.
• You are comfortable with relational databases, unit testing, and test-driven development.
• You work well in agile environments (Scrum, Sprints) and communicate in functional English.
• You live in Buenos Aires or nearby and can attend the office 2 days per week.

• Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina with 2 days/week on-site in Núñez
• Compensation: $2,200 – $3,200 USD/month
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM UTC-3 (40 hours/week)

About the Role

You join a 13-person engineering team leading a year-long platform migration. You migrate features from a TypeScript monolith (AdonisJS) to a service-oriented architecture on AWS, working in sprints alongside the team. This is an execution role: you design, build, and solve concrete problems while maintaining code quality. • You help the migration advance on schedule with minimal rework.
• You mentor newer team members and share knowledge about the platform architecture.
