Gramian Consultancy seeks Backend Software Engineers to contribute to an AI training initiative. You will design realistic coding tasks, implement features, fix bugs, and build deterministic verifiers to validate solutions. Proficiency in Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, or C++ is valued, with a focus on scalable services and robust APIs.

Prior AI experience is not required. This remote role offers flexible hours across regions, with a contractor engagement and emphasis on code

Formación

• Strong hands-on backend development experience with Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++, or a comparable language.
• Demonstrated experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Practical experience with debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Experience reviewing code and assessing software quality, correctness, and maintainability.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and foundational computer science concepts.
• Ability to independently analyze technical problems and develop reliable solutions.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree: Candidates applying for the Senior Software Engineer role must hold a bachelor's degree from an institution located in an English-native country.

Responsabilidades

• Design realistic and challenging coding tasks involving feature implementation and bug fixes.
• Create tasks that reflect authentic backend engineering workflows and practical software development challenges.
• Develop deterministic verifiers that accept reasonable valid solutions and reject incorrect implementations.
• Build and validate solutions using backend programming languages such as Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, or C++.
• Develop tasks involving scalable services, APIs, debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Review code quality, maintainability, correctness, and adherence to technical requirements.
• Design evaluation criteria that distinguish robust solutions from superficially plausible implementations.
• Incorporate security considerations into tasks and verifiers where applicable.
• Document assumptions, expected behavior, edge cases, and validation requirements.
• Apply independent technical judgment throughout the task development and review process.
