Bluelight is a leading software consultancy expanding across the Americas. We are seeking an ETL Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines using Python (PySpark) and Azure Synapse Analytics.

You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality data for insights, ensure data quality, and optimize performance while adhering to governance and security standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Strong ETL experience with Python (PySpark) for data extraction, transformation, loading from REST APIs, SQL databases, and CSV files.
• Proficient with Azure Synapse Analytics resources including Notebooks, Pipelines, Linked Services, and Azure Key Vault.
• Skilled in writing complex SQL queries (SparkSQL/MS SQL) for data extraction and transformation.
• Knowledge of data integration best practices and version control (Git/Azure DevOps).
• Excellent communication and teamwork, with ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsabilidades

• ETL data engineering: Develop and maintain PySpark-based ETL pipelines in Azure Synapse Analytics Notebooks and Pipelines.
• Data warehousing: Design effective storage structures using star schemas for scalable analytics.
• Source data access: Extract data from REST APIs, SQL databases, and CSV files.
• Azure Synapse: Optimize notebooks and pipelines for scalability and performance.
• Data fabric concepts: Contribute to data lakes, lakehouses, and delta lakes governance.
• Data modeling: Collaborate to create data models aligned with business needs.
• Data quality: Implement validation checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Performance tuning: Troubleshoot and optimize ETL pipelines to meet SLAs.
• Monitoring: Track ETL jobs, diagnose issues, and implement fixes.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive docs for data flows and transformations.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams on data-related initiatives.
• Security: Ensure data security and governance compliance.
