Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support clinical studies across delivery teams. You’ll assist in study startup, vendor management, TMF activities and study closeout under a project leader, ensuring timelines, quality and scope are met.

In this role you’ll coordinate with sponsors and internal functions, monitor budgets, prepare reports, and help ensure compliance with GCP and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Successful management of specified project management deliverables.
  • Vendor management, KPI reporting, risk identification and mitigation.
  • Lead or contribute to internal and sponsor calls.
  • Primary POC for sponsor and vendors for PM deliverables (TMF, data quality, reporting).
  • Understand study scope and monitor overall budget/financial health.
  • Contribute to study plans and adherence monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Delivery and Leadership
  • Successful management of specified project management deliverables.
  • Responsibilities may include vendor management, management and reporting of key performance indicators, risk identification and mitigation plans, managing and tracking study performance, collaboration with functional leads and other contributors to successfully manage to timelines, with quality and within scope.
  • May lead/contribute to both internal and sponsor facing calls
  • May act as primary POC for sponsor and vendors of project management deliverables as assigned (TMF, data quality, analysis, and delivery of reporting).
  • Responsible for understanding the scope of the study overall budget and monitoring overall financial health
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and monitoring of adherence to study plans.
Financials/Reporting
  • Creation and maintenance of metric reports, inclusive of data collection from multiple sources, for delivery to client or senior management
  • Assists with overall financial performance of the study by interacting with internal functional departments or vendors to obtain required metrics for financial reporting
  • Attends financial review meetings to assist with reconciliation and identification of budget overburn
  • Reviews and approves invoices from sites or vendors and to the client site payments is PS role
  • In collaboration with the Project Team, will plan, coordinate and present at internal and external meetings
  • Ensure studies are conducted in compliance with GCP, relevant SOP’s and regulatory requirements, and is audit ready.

Summary

The Associate Project manager is responsible for project management activities in assigned clinical studies. Typically working in conjunction with a project leader, the APM will manage components of the clinical study and be responsible for delivery of those activities. Duties include oversight for specific project deliverables including but not limited to study start up, vendor management, trial master file and study close out activities.
