The GBS Chevron Global Business Services (GBS), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position of Application Engineer – Finance IT Operations (HFM).

Successful candidates will join a thriving multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1800 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe.

The Application Engineer participates in the entire software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on evergreen support of existing software solutions requiring significant knowledge of enabled business domain, workflows, and processes.We are seeking a skilled Application Engineer to join our team and provide critical support for Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application engineering, with specific experience in supporting and maintaining Hyperion HFM systems. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of HFM applications, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various departments to optimize business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide end‑to‑end support for Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), including data integration, report generation, system maintenance, and financial close activities
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions that enhance HFM functionality. Support acquisitions and divestment activities.
• Support internal and external Auditing requirements.
• Support activities on regular system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Develop and maintain documentation for HFM processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements for HFM applications.
• Provide training and support to end-users on HFM applications and related tools.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in application engineering, with a focus on Hyperion Financial Management, including its architecture, modules, and functionalities, is crucial. This includes knowledge of data integration, consolidation, and reporting processes
• Experience with other Oracle EPM products, such as FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service), PBCS, Hyperion Planning, and FDMEE
• Strong understanding of financial management processes and systems (business planning & budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and consolidation)
• Experience with system integration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience with integrating HFM with other enterprise systems, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), to ensure seamless data flow and consistency
• Ability to create and maintain complex financial reports using tools like Hyperion Reports, Smart View, and other reporting tools
• Solid understanding of application model in HFM or similar Oracle EPM applications, including metadata structures, dimensions, and hierarchies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with finance, IT, and other departments. This includes providing training and support to end-users
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements, ensuring that HFM systems are secure and meet regulatory standards
• Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban) is considered a plus
