Hy-Vee is hiring an Aisles Online Shopper to accurately select groceries for online orders. You will greet customers, handle substitutions, and ensure items are bagged correctly for pickup.

Work involves scanning, temperature controls, and cashless payments at the POS. High school diploma preferred; full-time/part-time hours and benefits available.

• Greet customers and assist them with their needs throughout the store.
• Accurately select groceries ordered online by customers, choosing the highest quality produce, meat, and other fresh products.
• Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones.
• Ensure products maintain proper temperature throughout the fulfillment process.
• Place gathered orders in storage at the proper temperature and retrieve them prior to pickup.
• Cart orders to and place them in the holding area for customer pickup.
• Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
• Tender customer orders through POS and process credit card payments.
• Substitute products for customers upon request or when items are unavailable.
• Continually monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt fulfillment.
• Answer phones and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers.
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines.
• Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up.

What You'll Do

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas
• Where applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
• Where applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment
• Where applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
• Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties

Working Environment

This is a fast-moving role with constant pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks throughout your shift. You'll work primarily in a retail store setting and may be exposed to dust, noise, temperature extremes, moving equipment hazards, and electrical equipment. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.

Salary

The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $15.00 to $18.75 depending on experience.
