PwC’s Controller Operations is a dynamic, agile, and innovative Finance organization that is focused on the fiscal integrity of the U.S. member firm’s financial performance. The Finance Operations team is responsible for creating alignment across the business functions, generating data driven, value added operational insights across Controller Operations. The team collaborates with its stakeholders to develop process opportunities and analytical solutions to influence key business decisions supporting Firm strategy.

As a Service Delivery Treasury Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and managing the bank statement and cash flows into our financial systems and working collaboratively across Finance functions to execute successful accounting. You will oversee the team that manages all bank statement activity accounting, ensure timely accounting and clearings, handle escalated or complex account reconciliations, manage relationships and handling inquiries and discrepancies amongst other responsibilities.

To manage the team and assist Leadership, you will need to demonstrate thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in understanding financial transaction flow and technical treasury accounting, as well as process redesign resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction, including the following areas:

  • Connecting between Segment Finance, Treasury, and Accounting functions, helping to resolve inquiries around bank statement clearings;
  • Managing and identifying areas of opportunities for process improvements, focusing on projects designed to drive efficiency, consistency and quality
  • Liaising with accounting and reconciliation teams, working together to analyze, review, and reconcile financial accounts
  • Serving as a point of contact for Finance teams address escalations and issues;
  • Understanding S4/HANA activities and structures to understand cash movements and managements
  • Analyzing and identifying areas within owned G/L Accounts that require attention;
  • Understanding of Firmwide business intelligence resources such as Alteryx, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, and other visualization tools;
  • Participating in select projects designed to support internal stakeholders that demonstrate analytical / creative thinking and individual initiative;
  • Leveraging creative problem-solving skills, as well as prioritizing and handling multiple tasks;
  • Contributing to a positive working environment by building relationships with team members;
  • Exhibiting abilities to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development;
  • Demonstrating curiosity in developing insights and recommendations;
  • Demonstrating the ability to work and problem solve independently;
  • Utilizing problem-solving skills and communicating effectively in written and verbal formats to various audiences; and,
  • Contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
Requirements
  • Experience: +5 years of relevant experience in cash-flows, operational accounting, process improvement and project & escalation management. Experience in general finance is nice to have but not required. Knowledge of Treasury is helpful.
  • English: Advanced level C1 (both oral & written).
  • Digital Tools: Sap 4Hanna. Nice to have Alteryx, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and other visualization tools.
  • Softs skills: Leadership, project management, excellent communication skills, analytical & creativity, problem-solving, self-motivated, organizational skills, highly detail oriented, multitasking & capable to follow multiple priorities & deadlines, flexibility, adaptability, self-starter, process improvement, dynamic.
