Compass International Holdings is seeking a Sr Backend Engineer Go for integrated services. This contractor role (through Deel) focuses on building One-Click MVPs across Title & Escrow, Insurance, Mortgage and Home Warranty, scaling across markets, and ensuring secure, reliable integrations.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into technical designs, own features end-to-end, and help drive platform evolution while maintaining strong coding standards

Formación

• 5+ years with Go and TS/Nodejs.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with gRPC or Thrift.
• Experience with Kafka or event-driven systems.
• 2+ years using AWS/cloud technologies.
• Designing and implementing microservices that are tested, fault-tolerant & scalable.
• Experience leading technical design across multiple engineers.
• Frontend experience with Angular or React.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• CI/CD tooling and Git-based workflows.

At Compass, You Will:

• Build the Integrated Services Ecosystem: Contribute to the design and implementation of One-Click Title & Escrow, Insurance, Mortgage, and Home Warranty MVPs, building solutions that scale across existing and newly acquired markets.
• Contribute to Cross-Domain Technical Work: Help solve data architecture challenges, including data ingestion, mapping, and deduplication between the Home Platform, Salesforce, and legacy data stores.
• Own Feature Delivery: Own features end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Participate in Product Discovery: Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders during the discovery phase of new initiatives. Help translate requirements into clear technical designs and executable plans.
• Support System Reliability & Security: Take responsibility for the technical quality of the features you own. Identify potential bottlenecks, weigh technical tradeoffs, and ensure partner integrations adhere to security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate and Share Knowledge: Participate in design reviews, share knowledge with teammates, and help apply engineering best practices across the squad.

What We Look For:

• 5+ years of experience developing well-tested, high-performance software applications with Go and Typescript / Nodejs framework
• Fluent English level spoken and written
• Familiarity with gRPC, Thrift, or other server-to-server communication protocols
• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven systems
• 2+ years using AWS / cloud technologies
• Proficiency designing and implementing microservices that are well tested, fault tolerant, and scalable
• hands on engineering experience leading the technical design delivery of projects requiring work from multiple engineers as well as their own coding work
• Experience working with frontend technologies — including frameworks such as Angular or React
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to reason through interconnected systems
• Comfort working with modern CI/CD tooling and collaborative Git-based workflows
• Understanding of industry-standard best practices in software development
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools in real delivery environments, including familiarity with tools like ClaudeCode and concepts such as CLAUDE.md project configuration and custom skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
