Job summary

Talent Bridge HR Consultancy Dubai is seeking a qualified Yacht Marine Engineer to maintain and operate engines and onboard systems on luxury yachts in Dubai. The role emphasizes safe operation, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service to discerning guests.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with captains and crew to ensure optimal performance while keeping meticulous maintenance logs and participating in emergency drills.

Qualifications

• STCW 95 with medical certificate.
• 3–5 years on vessels of similar size.
• Marine diesel engines and generators expertise.
• Ability to travel and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on yacht engines, generators, and other onboard systems as per manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems effectively.
• Oversee operation and efficiency of onboard machinery, ensuring optimal performance.
• Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
• Prepare and submit reports on engine and system performance.
• Liaise with captains and crew to address technical issues.
• Participate in emergency drills and ensure crew is prepared for various scenarios.
• May assist with guest requests related to onboard systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized engine room environment.

We areseeking a qualified and experienced Yacht Marine Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our luxury yachts, providing exceptional service to our discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on yacht engines, generators, and other onboard systems as per manufacturer's specifications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid STCW 95 (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) certification including medical certificate.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Yacht Marine Engineer on vessels comparable in size and complexity to our fleet.
• Strong understanding of marine diesel engines, generators, and onboard systems.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A valid UAE Engineer's License (preferred).
• Experience with specific engines and systems used on our yachts (a plus).
• Ability to travel extensively and work flexible schedules (including nights and weekends).
