Job summary

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and support Rapiscan X-ray screening systems across the UAE/MEA region, ensuring peak performance at security facilities.

You will perform site surveys, diagnose faults, execute preventive and corrective maintenance, install upgrades, and provide detailed service reports and input to change requests. Qualifications include a BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with 3–4 years of field service experience; IT

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Post graduate qualification in Electrical engineering desirable.
• IT qualification (Microsoft, Cisco) a plus.
• Good general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil, hydraulic, electronics or complex electro-mechanical equipment; HV systems knowledge.
• 3–4 years of field service experience; X-ray industry desirable.
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies; wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with test equipment (DVM) and high voltage/X-ray equipment.
• Clear business communication in English, both oral and written.
• Detail oriented, well organized, self-motivated; strong interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate: MS Office and aptitude for learning specialized software.
• Team player with ability to work under pressure; flexible on-call hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service Rapiscan X-ray systems in UAE/MEA.
• Carry out service site surveys and professional site reports.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and repair detection systems and subsystems; perform maintenance.
• Complete technical documentation and input service data to database; raise change requests.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and attend call-outs.
• Provide feedback to Engineering, PLM and QA for continuous improvement.
• Interact with operators, technicians and BHS managers daily on equipment status.
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements on customer sites.
