Job summary

An aviation maintenance company seeks an experienced technician to assist with the maintenance and repairs of aircraft turbine engines. Candidates must hold a Federal Aviation Administration Power Plant license and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. The role includes training personnel and managing tools and parts inventory. This position offers a dynamic working environment in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Federal Aviation Administration Power Plant license or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal turbine engine training course from an accredited aeronautical school.
  • Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Engine Supervisor with maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Remove, replace, and service engine components.
  • Disassemble and repair turbine engine systems and components.
  • Train personnel on proper engine maintenance.

Job description

Assist the Engine Supervisor to accomplish aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all assigned aircraft turbine engines and components.

Will also be responsible for
  • Removes, replaces, services, prepares, preserves, cleans and stores engine assembles or components.
  • Disassembles repairs, resembles, adjusts, diagnose tests turbine engine systems, subsystems and components according to applicable manuals and directives.
  • Assists in troubleshooting engines / engine components and rigging engine controls.
  • Uses and performs user maintenance on common and special tools.
  • Requisitions aircraft parts, and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft engine and components.
  • Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751.
  • Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the engines and associated components and subsytems.
  • Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.
