We are seeking an experienced Fleet & Workshop Manager with a strong motorsport background to take full responsibility for the management, maintenance and operational readiness of a fleet of high-performance drift cars and the day-to-day operation of our motorsport workshop. This is not a conventional automotive workshop management position. The successful candidate must have practical experience working within a motorsport, racing, drifting or competition/performance vehicle environment and must understand the significantly higher standards of vehicle preparation, preventive maintenance, reliability and safety required for competition and high-performance use. The Fleet & Workshop Manager will be responsible for ensuring that every vehicle is properly maintained, inspected, documented and ready for scheduled drift sessions and events. The role also includes managing mechanics and workshop personnel, planning workloads, controlling parts and inventory, coordinating specialist suppliers and monitoring workshop expenditure. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a combination of strong technical knowledge, workshop management, motorsport experience, organisation and accountability.

- Plan and supervise servicing, repairs, inspections and reliability improvements.
- Monitor component usage and replacement intervals for engines, transmissions, differentials, suspension, steering, braking, cooling and fuel systems.
- Diagnose and investigate recurring mechanical or reliability issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure every vehicle undergoes documented technical checks and sign-off before being released for use.
- Remove any vehicle from operation where unresolved safety or reliability concerns exist.
Drift Session & Event Preparation
- Plan and coordinate all pre-event and pre-session inspections, servicing, vehicle setup and readiness deadlines.
- Ensure tyres, fluids, consumables, spare parts, tools and support equipment are prepared in advance.
- Coordinate transportation and technical/event support where required.
- Record driver feedback, mechanical faults, incidents, vehicle usage and setup changes.
- Manage post-session inspections and convert findings into clearly scheduled maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure vehicles are returned to operational readiness following each drift session or event.
Workshop & Team Management
- Manage the daily operation of the workshop.
- Prepare daily work allocations and weekly workshop schedules.
- Assign work according to technician capability, priority and available resources.
- Maintain clear job cards covering scope of work, responsibility, parts required, deadlines and completion status.
- Supervise mechanics, fabricators and other workshop personnel.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure completed repairs are appropriately checked and verified.
- Identify delays or technical issues early and communicate them clearly to management.
- Maintain a professional, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Coordinate staff attendance, event coverage and operational handovers.
Parts, Suppliers & Cost Control
- Manage spare-parts inventory and minimum stock requirements for critical components and consumables.
- Source parts and obtain quotations from approved suppliers.
- Coordinate external fabrication, machining, tuning, electronics and specialist repair work.
- Track parts, labour and maintenance expenditure by vehicle.
- Work within agreed budgets and purchasing approval procedures.
- Maintain records for workshop tools and equipment and coordinate servicing/calibration where required.
- Provide management with a concise weekly report covering fleet status, vehicle readiness, outstanding work, expenditure and upcoming requirements.

- Willingness to attend scheduled drift sessions/events and work agreed weekends when operationally required.
- Previous experience as a Fleet Manager, Motorsport Workshop Manager, Race Team Workshop Manager, Crew Chief, Chief Mechanic or Senior Motorsport Technician with management responsibilities would be particularly relevant.
- Direct professional experience with drift cars and drift teams is strongly preferred.
Important – Please Read Before Applying
This vacancy requires previous motorsport, racing, drifting or directly relevant high-performance competition vehicle experience. Candidates whose experience is limited to standard passenger vehicle workshops, dealership workshops, general automotive maintenance, commercial fleets or conventional garage operations should not apply unless they can demonstrate substantial relevant motorsport experience. We are looking for a candidate who already understands the demands of preparing and maintaining vehicles for drift / competition use, rather than someone seeking to move into motorsport for the first time.
