Job summary

A leading technology firm is looking for a candidate in Abu Dhabi to coordinate Workshop and Project teams effectively while ensuring adherence to timelines and project goals. The role requires an Engineering degree and preferably prior experience in a similar role. You'll be responsible for managing subcontractor relations, monitoring work orders, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Ensure collaboration between Workshop and Project Teams.
  • Coordinate work order requisitions from the Project Engineer.
  • Monitor material shortages and manhours related to work orders.
  • Oversee fabrication schedule and project goals.
  • Manage subcontractor relations and issue quotations.
  • Engage in Project and Workshop Coordination meetings.
  • Collaborate to maintain a Workshop Fabrication Plan.
  • Provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Submit weekly Workshop Labour Analysis Sheets.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE policies.
  • Implement corrective actions for nonconformance.
  • Lead incident investigations and promote safety.
  • Inspect and maintain workshop equipment.
  • Collaborate among subcontractors for QHSE activities.
  • Work with managers to fulfill workshop requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between Workshop and Project Teams fostering a spirit of teamwork and innovation.
  • Play a pivotal role in coordinating work order requisitions (WRN) from the Project Engineer regarding Drawings Materials and QA/QC documents.
  • Proactively monitor material shortages and manhours related to work orders ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Oversee the fabrication schedule linked to work orders ensuring adherence to timelines and project goals.
  • Manage subcontractor relations effectively including the issuance of quotations Purchase Orders and work plans to ensure smooth operations.
  • Engage actively in Project and Workshop Coordination meetings contributing valuable insights and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Manager and Project Managers to craft and maintain a robust Workshop Fabrication Plan.
  • Interface with the Technical Support team to provide topnotch technical assistance as needed.
  • Submit weekly Workshop Labour Analysis Sheets providing transparency and insights into workforce productivity.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Contract Manager showcasing flexibility and commitment to team success.
  • Stay informed about Company and client QHSE policies ensuring compliance and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate efforts regarding nonconformance in materials/products implementing corrective actions to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Lead incident/near miss investigations pushing for a culture of safety and proactive reporting among employees.
  • Ensure regular inspection and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools upholding HSE regulations.
  • Foster collaboration among client subcontractors and other stakeholders to streamline QHSE activities.
  • Work closely with other departmental managers to fulfill workshop requirements effectively.
Education & Experience
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering.
  • Preferably have prior experience in a similar role.
