Job summary

NMDC Group is seeking a technically minded candidate to work within the Technical Services Department. The role requires adherence to defined policies, reporting on work and performance to a Charge Hand or Supervisor, and strict compliance with HSE regulations.

Additional duties include preparing material lists, reading technical drawings, basic knowledge of fabrication (structural/pipe), and submitting completed work reports.

Responsibilities

• Work according to defined policies and procedures of the Technical Services Department.
• Report to Charge Hand or Supervisor on work done/performance, issues and preventive maintenance requirements.
• Comply with and work according to the HSE requirements.
• Provide Charge Hand/Supervisor with information regarding Technical aspects and spare parts that need to be ordered.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Capable of reading technical drawings.
• Minimum knowledge of fabrication works (Structural / pipe).
• Prepare the list of items required for carrying out the job entrusted.
• Able to submit the report in respect of the work done.
• Work in compliance with HSE regulations;
• Use any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the employer;
• Tell the employer or supervisor about any known missing or defective equipment or protective device that may be dangerous;
• Report any known workplace hazard or violation of the Act to the employer or supervisor;
• Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the employer or by the regulations.
