Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Welding Inspector to ensure compliance with welding standards and project specifications in a major Oil & Gas development project. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in the field, strong inspection capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conduct welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and ensure proper execution on-site.
  • Monitor and verify welding activities to ensure quality and adherence to the approved specifications.
  • Identify and report non‑conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with QA / QC, construction, and client teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and generate reports for quality documentation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar role.
  • Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline).
  • Certification in CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Client.
  • Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal.
