Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Welding/NDT Inspector with a Mechanical or Welding/Metallurgical Engineering degree and senior certifications. The role demands extensive onshore and offshore inspection experience in oil & gas, with expertise in welding, piping, mechanical equipment, hydro testing and advanced NDT methods.

The successful candidate will write technical QA/QC reports, review ITPs and coordinate with EPC Contractors, ensuring compliance with ASME,

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Welding or Metallurgical Engineering is required and CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI and PCN level II are desirable or ASNT Level 2.
• 10+ years' experience in onshore and offshore oil & gas/petrochemical inspection, with experience in Welding/Process Piping/Mechanical Equipment, Hydro testing and advanced NDT methods.
• Strong written and spoken English, including QA/QC documentation and technical reports.
• Proven ability to liaise with EPC Contractors and review multidiscipline ITPs and NCRs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify Welding/Process Piping/Mechanical Equipment activities on onshore and offshore sites.
• Review and approve multidiscipline ITPs, procedures, site queries, NCRs and concessions.
• Prepare and write technical reports and QA/QC documentation in English.
