Job summary

PPOAR in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. You will read blueprints, set up components and weld using TIG/MIG techniques to fabricate metal structures.

We offer a full-time role with flexible hours and a salary of 1500 AED per month; UAE work visa is required for foreign applicants, and there are opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Welder or similar role.
• Thorough knowledge of TIG/MIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and sketches.
• Understanding of metal alloys and materials properties.
• Good communication in English; UAE work visa if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Set up components for welding per specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
• Align components using calipers and clamps prior to welding.
• Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Repair machinery by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Test assemblies to locate defects and rework as needed.
• Monitor welding to avoid overheating or warping.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces together prior to welding
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Test assembled structures/components to locate defects and rework/repair as needed
• Monitor the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping
