Job summary

Sener is seeking an experienced Water Sector Lead to drive delivery of water infrastructure projects in the UAE and wider region. The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing bids, and strengthening client relationships while advancing technical excellence and growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in water projects, a relevant master’s degree, and PMP or equivalent qualifications. Hybrid working arrangements are offered with a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in water engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration.
• PMP Certification or equivalent Project Management qualification preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in water infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex water projects.
• Experience with public sector authorities, utilities, and international clients.

We are seeking an experienced Water Sector Lead with 15+ years of professional experience in water infrastructure projects to lead project delivery, support business growth, and strengthen our presence across the UAE and the wider region.

The successful candidate will play a strategic role in managing multidisciplinary teams, delivering complex water infrastructure projects, leading bid activities, and building strong client relationships while driving technical excellence and business development initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of water infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and concept development through detailed design and project execution.

• Manage multidisciplinary engineering and project teams across a range of water sector projects.

• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, cost control, risk management, and schedule performance.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, authorities, partners, and key stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.

• Lead and support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for water sector opportunities.

• Manage bid activities, including strategy development, technical coordination, resource planning, and proposal submissions.

• Support business development initiatives through client engagement, market intelligence, opportunity identification, and strategic positioning.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance across water infrastructure disciplines while promoting excellence and innovation in engineering.

• Mentor engineering teams and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in water engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• PMP Certification or equivalent Project Management qualification will be a preferred asset.

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in water infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience managing complex water sector projects within engineering consultancy environments.

• Strong design engineering background with progression into project management and leadership roles.

• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:

  • Sewerage Networks

  • Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)

  • Water Treatment Plants (WTP)

  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants

  • Water Transmission Networks

  • Water Distribution Systems

  • Wet Utilities Infrastructure

• Proven experience leading technical and commercial bid preparation for major infrastructure opportunities.

• Experience supporting business development activities and client relationship management.

• Strong understanding of project governance, quality assurance, risk management, and project controls.

• Experience working with public sector authorities, utilities, private developers, and international clients.
