Job summary

Miral is seeking a Warehouse Storekeeper to manage receiving, GRNs, and quality checks across all warehouse sections, including F&B, consumables, and merchandise. Job Description:

The Warehouse Storekeeper holds a vital position within Miral, managing a wide array of essential tasks that ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of the warehouse. This role includes receiving goods and materials, generating Goods Received Notes (GRNs), conducting quality inspections, and completing necessary checklists. The Storekeeper is also responsible for the accurate storage of items in designated sections based on product type and temperature requirements, such as freezers and chillers, while maintaining regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Their duties extend across all warehouse sections, including Food, Beverage, Consumables, Merchandise, Technical Services, Direct departments, and Zoological areas.

A key responsibility of the Storekeeper is to ensure the timely and accurate picking, cross-verifying, and issuing of items for internal departments and external clients. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP) and general warehouse safety practices is also essential. They oversee the warehouse’s equipment and machinery, ensuring all are in proper working condition through regular checks and maintenance.

The role demands both physical fitness and endurance, as it involves frequent lifting, manual handling, and operating in various conditions, from cold environments like freezers and chillers to outdoor sections. The Storekeeper must also be adaptable, working varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to meet the businesss dynamic needs.

Trustworthiness is a crucial attribute, as the Storekeeper is responsible for safeguarding company assets worth millions. They must ensure that operations are conducted with minimal shrinkage, strictly adhering to company policies and processes to protect inventory and prevent losses. Overall, this position is integral to maintaining the flow of operations across Mirals diverse portfolio while contributing to a streamlined, safe, and efficient supply chain.

Role Scope
Operational Check list
  • Opening and Closing Check lists.
  • Chemical Storage check lists.
  • F&B Cleaning check lists.
  • Freezers, chillers, and dry store temperature check list.
  • Equipment Check list. (Forklift, Electric pallet Jack, weight scale, thermometers, hygrometers etc.)
  • Ladder Inspection check list.
Receiving Operation
  • Ensure the receipt of goods/materials matches the Invoice, Delivery Note, and Packing List, in accordance with the approved Miral purchase order (3-way match).
  • Conduct a quantity inspection for all deliveries/shipments.
  • Conduct Expiry, temperature, and weigh check for the delivery/shipments. (Includes Cafeteria staff meals)
  • Acknowledge the delivery/shipment with a warehouse stamp and required signatures.
  • Transfer goods/materials to designated storage locations and store them on assigned shelves.
  • Apply barcodes to maintenance items, upload pictures in Maximo, and update bin locations in the inventory database (Eatec/Maximo).
  • Perform physical verification of the delivery/shipments.
  • Notify end-users of received goods/materials via email.
  • Internal/External GRN RTV Requests.
  • Credit notes requests from Suppliers.
  • Delivery/Shipment rejection requests.
  • Request import shipping‑related documents for VAT claims (e.g., BOE, customs paperwork).
  • Monitor, coordinate, and replenish 5‑gallon water bottles.
Issuances Operation
  • Issue items in accordance with system-generated requisitions, work orders (WO), and material requests (MR).
  • Issue goods/materials for direct department orders via manual requisition.
  • Update requisition with expiry dates for products with less than 3 months remaining for F&B and follow FEFO.
  • Update bin cards according to issued quantities, document numbers, etc. (for all categories except Food & Beverages).
  • Perform issuances cross verification with end‑users.
  • Perform Inter‑site transfers / Fruit/Vegetables transfers.
  • Submit Internal RTV requests through entity leader approval.
  • Acknowledge the dispatch of goods/materials to the end‑user with a warehouse stamp and required signatures.
Inventory Operation
  • Conduct maintenance and merchandise cycle counts and process them in the inventory management systems.
  • Conduct periodic counts for F&B, consumables, guest services, operations, zoological etc., and process them in the inventory management systems.
  • Submit inventory count sheets for entity leader review prior to Inventory Control team.
  • Notify end-users via email about expiry checks.
General Operation
  • Manage the temporary storage area in the warehouse for other departments, any special request obtaining storage approval via warehouse management, and issuing items through a manual requisition and approved property removal form.
  • Maintain HACCP and ADFCA standards, keep warehouse areas clean and tidy, and restrict access to unauthorized personnel.
Education and Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent.
Years of Experience
  • Minimum 1 year’s operational experience in warehouse and supply chain.
Knowledge, Languages and Skills
  • Fluent in English.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications. (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.).
